Bulgaria legend Hristo Stoichkov will be feted for his 50th birthday with a tribute game at Sofia's Vasil Levski Stadium on May 20.
Diego Maradona, Romario, Roberto Baggio, Jean-Pierre Papin, Gianfranco Zola, Predrag Mijatovic, Dejan Savicevic and Gheorghe Hagi are all scheduled to take part in the event, which will honor the in former star who in 1992 was a key member of the first Barcelona side to lift the European Cup.
Legendary Barcelona coach Johan Cruyff is reported to have first set his sights on Stoichkov when the CSKA Sofia forward was just 23 and had scored three goals in a losing effort against the Catalan club in the 1989 European Cup.
