The Argentina international has admitted to two separate offences, each of which hold six-month prison sentences but he will not face time behind bars

Angel Di Maria will pay a fine of £1.76 million to avoid spending time in prison after admitting to tax fraud.

The Argentine winger defrauded the Spanish government of £1.14m during his time at Real Madrid, and will subsequently pay a 60 per cent fine on top of what is already owed.

Di Maria admitted to two counts of fraud, which hold six-month sentences each, but will not face any jail time.
