Bradley Wright-Phillips humbled by Red Bulls goals milestone

Bradley Wright-Phillips set a new club record for MLS goals with his two goals in Saturday's 3-1 win against Montreal, a milestone that left him humbled.

HARRISON, N.J. — When reminded of the names that now sit underneath him on the New York Red Bulls all-time list of MLS goal scorers, Bradley Wright-Phillips couldn't help but chuckle and feel a little embarrassed. He grew up watching Juan Pablo Angel play in the English Premier League with Aston Villa, and idolized Thierry Henry before eventually playing alongside him in his early MLS years.

So it was easy to understand why the English striker almost didn't feel worthy of the honor he achieved when he scored two goals in Saturday's 3-1 win against Didier Drogba and the Montreal Impact.
