Bosnian club's clever trick to get match-fixing player out of prison

GOSK Gabela's players grouped together to help raise funds for their team-mate and negotiate his early release from jail

A Bosnian club has come with an ingenious idea to help one of their players get out of prison after he was convicted of match-fixing.

Croatian midfielder Miljenko Bosnjak was sentenced to nine months inside, but lasted just 21 days as his GOSK Gabela team-mates rallied round to help him get out.

GOSK coach Darko Vojvodic revealed the cunning plan, where the club crowdfunded to raise the bail money for Bosnjak's release.

"Bosnjak is out of prison and today he was in training," Vojvodic told SportSport.
