Benfica kick off their International Champions Cup campaign with a 3-0 victory over Chivas. It was not a perfect performance from the Portuguese outfit, but Bruno Lage will have been pleased with his side's clinical edge in the final third. Raul de Tomas opened the scoring with a close-range effort after good work from Caio. Benfica had to wait until the second half for the second goal as Rafa found the net before Haris Seferovic killed off the contest. Chivas had their moments in the game and hit the woodwork three times. Miguel Ponce hit the bar and the post, while Alex Vega struck the underside of the bar.
