The 26-year-old's sleeping posture on Sporting Gijon's team bus caused him a gluteal injury that saw him miss training.
Sporting Gijon defender and Barcelona flop Douglas injured himself while sleeping but will be fit to face his former club this weekend.
The much-maligned Brazilian right back made the trip with Sporting for their 2-1 defeat to Celta Vigo and snoozed on the way back.
However, Douglas' sleeping posture saw him pick up a gluteal injury as confirmed by his coach Gerardo Ruiz.
It is not believed a serious injury despite the 26-year-old sitting out training on Thursday, and he is expected to be fit to face Barcelona on Saturday.
