Arsenal striker Takuma Asano has said he wants to be a key player for Japan in the 2022 World Cup.
Asano, who starred in January's AFC Under-23 Championship in Doha, said he believed Japan could reach the semifinals in 2022.
The former Sanfrecce Hiroshima player, part of the national squad at the Olympic Games in Rio this summer, told the Qatar Supreme Committee for Development and Legacy website: "Anything is possible if we put in our best effort each time we take the field, whether it be in the 2022 qualifiers or the main tournament.
