The Argentine is set to take legal action against the Japanese developers, claiming he did not grant them permission to use his likeness
Argentina legend Diego Maradona is suing video game developer Konami for using his likeness without permission in Pro Evolution Soccer 2017.
The game, which was released last year, included retired players such as Ronaldinho, Thierry Henry, and Gary Lineker which could be used in the 'myClub' mode.
Maradona was also included, and given an overall rating of 97, though the former Napoli man claims he did not give permission to the Japanese publisher and will ‘initiate legal actions’.
