Vlatko Andonovski has been named head coach of the U.S. women's national team.
Andonovski takes over for Jill Ellis, who stepped down from her position in October after five years in charge and two World Cup titles.
Andonovski, 43, has managed Reign FC in the National Women's Soccer League for the past two seasons, leading the club to the NWSL semifinals in the 2019 season.

Before that, Andonovski managed FC Kansas City for three seasons, leading the club to back-to-back NWSL titles in 2014 and 2015 before the franchise folded in 2017.
Andonovski was particularly lauded for his work with Reign FC in 2019, as the club managed to make the NWSL playoffs despite a crippling amount of injuries and international absences.
