Allan Wanga scored his 17th goal of the season at Sudi Stadium as he helped Kakamega Homeboyz beat Nzoia Sugar 2-0 on Thursday.
Wanga is now the clear leader on the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) top scorers’ chart with a goal more than Umaru Kasumba of Sofapaka who has 16 goals.
Dennis Odhiambo was the other scorer for Kakamega Homeboyz in a tense affair in Bungoma. The win helped the visitors earn important points that keep them chasing the top three finish what was earmarked as the season’s top target.
