Algeria’s Ramy Bensebaini got on the scoresheet as Rennes returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Bordeaux in Sunday’s Ligue 1 encounter.
Sabri Lamouchi’s charges entered the duel on the back of a stalemate against Marseille but two first-half headers within the space of four minutes saw them claim a victory.
In the 12th minute, Benjamin Andre’s scored off a Clement Grenier corner before the Algeria international made it two with another header in the 16th minute, benefitting from a cross from Benjamin Bourigeaud.
The goal was Bensebaini’s first goal of the season. His side are now fifth in the French top-flight log with seven points from four games.
