WR Marcus Johnson set to become free agent as Colts do not place tender

INDIANAPOLIS — The Colts do not plan to place a tender on restricted free agent Marcus Johnson, a source told IndyStar on Friday, which means the wide receiver will become an unrestricted free agent, allowing him to sign with any other team without sending anything to the Colts.

Johnson, who played well down the stretch as a deep threat for Indianapolis, is expected to have interest from other teams on the open market.
