INDIANAPOLIS — Danny Pinter spent his offseason sending clips of his offseason training in Chicago down to Quenton Nelson in Indianapolis.
They’d talk every week. Nelson would take a look, then give Pinter his notes. More of this. A little less of that.
Preparing Pinter to take over the starting job at right guard.
“Obviously, there’s an opportunity there,” Pinter said.
The Ball State product, a fifth-round pick by the Colts in 2020, spent his first two seasons in the NFL backing up Pro Bowler Ryan Kelly at center. Pinter started one game at center as a rookie, then three in relief of Kelly last season, handling himself well in big games.
