The Colts came into the offseason with a need at the cornerback position. That hole on the roster grew larger when Rashaan Melvin left for the Raiders in free agency.
While I think Quincy Wilson showed some promise last season, he’s probably not ready to be a number one cornerback in year two. Especially without a solid corner on the opposite side of the field.
Bashaud Breeland could be an answer to that problem after his wild offseason.
He had apparently agreed to a deal with the Panthers early on in free agency, but that contract was voided when he suffered a serious cut on his left foot during vacation.
