Sam Ehlinger moved his way up the depth chart
The Colts drafted Ehlinger out of Texas in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He battled Jacob Eason for the backup job in training camp. Eason, a fourth-round pick in the 2020 draft, was waived by the Colts in October and signed with Seattle.
Brett Hundley also spent time as the Colts backup, but he was released on Nov.
