INDIANAPOLIS — Chris Ballard says Sean Spence “has the speed and athleticism to be a sideline to sideline player.”
He apparently packs quite the punch, too. Just ask DeAndre Washington.
The Oakland Raiders running back had just caught a screen pass in a preseason game against the Tennessee Titans last season when Spence delivered a punishing blow, knocking the ball loose. The fumble was picked up by defensive end David Bass, who took it into the end zone from there.
Spence would go on to turn in a productive regular season with the Titans, and on Monday, he signed a reported one-year contract with the Titans’ AFC South Division rival, the Indianapolis Colts.
