IndyStar is ranking the top 10 (or so) players at each position in Indianapolis Colts history. Today, we're looking at pass rushers, which include outside linebackers in 3-4 defenses (1984-96 and 2012-17) and defensive ends in 4-3 defenses. Here are the 10 best:
1. Dwight Freeney
Only Peyton Manning was selected first team All-Pro more often (5 vs. 3) in Indianapolis Colts history. Freeney also made seven Pro Bowls for his 107.5 sacks in 143 starts with the team. He had only 316 tackles in 11 seasons with the team; Freeney did one thing, get the quarterback, but he was one of the best at it.
