To find their future, Colts look back

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Jim Irsay is not a patient man. He possesses one Super Bowl trophy and is in constant pursuit of his next one. The chase seems to consume the longtime Indianapolis Colts owner.

But Irsay, in spite of his restlessness, has been reminded of the steadiness that produced his team’s first championship. The recent Hall-of-Fame selections of Bill Polian, Tony Dungy and Marvin Harrison, as well as the upcoming 10-year anniversary of that lone Super Bowl title, have proved thought-provoking for Irsay. The blueprint then was simple, yet effective: find talent, develop talent, keep talent.
