TE Jack Doyle has earned Andrew Luck’s Trust

  • Indianapolis Colts Head Coach Chuck Pagano said on Wednesday that quarterback Andrew Luck has “a ton of faith and trust” in fifth-year tight end Jack Doyle. The Colts gave Doyle a three-year, $18.9 million contract extension in March after trading Dwayne Allen to New England.
  • Doyle enjoyed a breakout season in 2016, seeing his targets jump to 72 from just 14 the previous year. Doyle converted 81.9% of those targets into receptions which ranked second in the league among tight ends who received at least 20 targets.
  • The only other tight ends currently on the Colts roster who received NFL snaps last year are Erik Swoope and Brandon Williams.
