INDIANAPOLIS — There's a definitive pattern to the players being signed this offseason by new Colts general manager Chris Ballard.
Young. Tough. And hungry.
Inside linebacker Sean Spence fits all three descriptions. The 26-year-old spent his first four NFL seasons with the Steelers and played last year for the Titans.
His rookie season of 2012 was derailed by a serious knee injury, and surgery for a broken right finger again slowed his development in 2013.
Spence has played in 46 career games with 19 starts. But, in many ways, he feels his career is just getting started.
