Former Miami Dolphins coach Brian Flores filed a class action race discrimination lawsuit Tuesday, alleging that the National Football League and three teams (the Denver Broncos, Miami Dolphins and New York Giants) were discriminatory in their interviews with him.
Former Colts coach Tony Dungy, who became the first Black coach to win a Super Bowl, says this might be "just the tip of the iceberg." On Feb. 4, 2021, Dungy wrote an open letter to NFL owners about the league's lack of minority hires. In the year since he wrote that letter, Dungy says that "not a lot has changed.
