Second-round pick T.J. Green looked at as safety of the future for Colts

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Colts will open their three-day rookie minicamp Friday. The focal point of the minicamp -- and rightfully so -- will be first-round draft pick Ryan Kelly. The University of Alabama product will begin making the transition to becoming the Colts’ starting center.

Another key player in the Colts’ rookie class is second-round pick T.J. Green. The safety out of Clemson isn’t expected to start this season, because those jobs belong to Clayton Geathers and Mike Adams. But, along with the 23-year-old Geathers, Green is looked as one of the Colts' safeties of the future because Adams is 35 and at the tail end of his career.
