After sleeping on it, replaying it and pondering it, Colts coach Chuck Pagano still didn’t flinch when it came to his position on ordering that decisive fake punt in Sunday night’s loss to the New England Patriots.
No second guessing. No beating himself up. No regrets.
“Not at all,” Pagano said.
While the rest of the world scratched its collective head, while the Colts became the subject of internet memes, and while owner Jim Irsay likely was doing anything but laughing, Pagano held his ground.
“I’m not pleased, obviously, with the way I prepared the guys or coached the guys to go out and execute the play,” Pagano said.
