The Indianapolis Colts were unable to clear recently released quarterback Jacob Eason to their practice squad, as he was claimed off waivers on Wednesday by the Seattle Seahawks:
The Washington native will return home and for now backup replacement starting quarterback Geno Smith—in the wake of star quarterback Russell Wilson’s sprained finger.
As for Eason, it concludes his Colts career, as the 2020 4th round pick finishes his short-lived Indianapolis tenure, having completed 2 of 5 passes for 40 passing yards and an interception—all late in Week 2 during a losing effort against the Los Angeles Rams.
