INDIANAPOLIS -- A man who would know once called Ryan Kelly the most underrated offensive lineman in the NFL.
That man’s name is Andrew Luck, and he was the quarterback Kelly spent two seasons protecting. This offseason, however, the Colts have an opportunity to show Kelly just how highly they rate him.
General manager Chris Ballard has a long to-do list to get through this offseason, and while a new long-term pact with Kelly -- who is signed through 2020 -- probably won’t be chief among them, it could, and maybe should be a priority.
Kelly will play next season, his fifth in the NFL, on the final year of his rookie deal.
