INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Colts today claimed tight end Randall Telfer off waivers (from Cleveland) and waived tight end Jason Vander Laan.
Telfer, 6-4, 250 pounds, has played in 30 career games (19 starts) in three seasons (2015-17) with the Browns and has caught five passes for 40 yards. He was Cleveland’s 2017 Walter Payton Man of the Year. Telfer was originally selected by the Browns in the sixth round (198th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft out of USC.
In 2017, Telfer started 14-of-16 games and compiled three receptions for 36 yards.
