Indianapolis – The Indianapolis Colts today claimed defensive end Rakeem Nunez-Roches off waivers (from Kansas City) and waived outside linebacker Josh Perry.
Nunez-Roches, 6-2, 307 pounds, has played in 34 career games (16 starts) in three seasons (2015-17) with the Chiefs and has totaled 51 tackles (31 solo), 5.0 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. He has also appeared in one postseason contest and has tallied one tackle. Nunez-Roches was originally selected in the sixth round (217th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft out of Southern Miss.
In 2017, Nunez-Roches played in all 16 games (11 starts) for the first time in his career and compiled 24 tackles (13 solo) and half a sack.
