DETROIT — Rookie quarterback Sam Ehlinger suffered a knee injury in the second quarter of the Colts’ preseason finale.
Ehlinger, who was inserted into the game to run the two-minute drill and played just seven plays, limped off at the end of the series and did not return.
The Colts did not offer specifics after the game, but Indianapolis is concerned about the severity of the injury.
“No update yet,” Colts head coach Frank Reich said. “It didn’t look good. Kind of got a pretty up-close look at it, but obviously, you wait for the doctor’s final say on it.
