According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Indianapolis Colts are trying out former Washington Football Team tight end Jeremy Sprinkle:
Originally a 2017 5th round pick by Washington, the 26 year old tight end has 34 receptions for 301 receiving yards (8.9 ypr. avg.) and 3 touchdown receptions during 59 career games (33 starts) over the past four seasons.
At 6’5”, 255 pounds with 34 1⁄2 “ arms and 10 3⁄4“ hands, Sprinkle has some impressive physical measurables and tools to work with on the football field:
Of course, the Colts could use additional depth at tight end, as while veteran Jack Doyle and Mo Alie-Cox (RFA) will presumably return, it’s looking increasingly likely that free agent tight end Trey Burton won’t re-sign as the team’s primary ‘move’ tight end next season.
