The Indianapolis Colts made two notable roster moves Wednesday afternoon, as they signed veteran cornerback Darqueze Dennard and safety Josh Jones to their practice squad, according to the team.
Dennard, who’s spent time with the Cincinnati Bengals and most recently the Atlanta Falcons, was one of a few different corners Indy had looked into signing a couple of days ago.
Jones, like Dennard, has also bounced around the league a bit, but was most recently with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Dallas Cowboys over the last couple of seasons.
With the injury to starting cornerback Rock Ya-Sin, who left Sunday’s game against the Texans after re-aggravating the same ankle which had been bothering him for the last two weeks, Dennard may see some playing time should Ya-Sin not be able to play Sunday against the 49ers.
