Releasing Todd Herremans proves Colts GM Ryan Grigson should have never signed him

INDIANAPOLIS – Todd Herremans' time with the Indianapolis Colts didn't get off to a good start when he was benched after just the first two weeks of the season. It got even worse as he a healthy inactive for five games and his only snaps when he was active were on special teams.

Colts general manager Ryan Grigson, the person responsible for bringing Herremans to Indianapolis, finally admitted signing Herremans, the only key free agent on the offensive lineman the team signed in the offseason, was a bad decision when they waived the veteran on Tuesday afternoon.

The thought behind signing Herremans was that the Colts thought that he would help bring stability to an offensive line that’s had problems protecting the quarterback in recent years.
