The Indianapolis Colts picked up their first win of the 2024 preseason, as the Horseshoe defeated the Arizona Cardinals, 21-13, at home on Saturday night.
While neither team’s starters played, there were some key takeaways:
- Ground game: Aside from the recently claimed Demetric Felton, who was stymied for 7 total rushing yards on 8 carries by the Cardinals defense, the Colts have a very solid day running the football. The Colts totaled 166 total rushing yards on 37 carries, averaging 4.5 yards per carry. Zavier Scott (who led the Colts with 55 total rushing yards), Tyler Goodson, and mobile quarterback Jason Bean each added a rushing touchdown in this one.
