The Indianapolis Colts (1-2) finally got their first win of the 2024 season, just besting the Chicago Bears (1-2) late, 21-16, at the friendly confines of Lucas Oil Stadium—and winning the I-65 rivalry for yet another go-around.
After surprisingly failing to defeat a backup quarterback last week, the Colts did get the better of top rookie Caleb Williams and another NFC North foe, the Chicago Bears—although it wasn’t always pretty or convincing, particularly in the first half of this one.
The Colts had surrendered 474 total rushing yards during their first two games—which were as a direct result, losses, and against a Bears team that had the 4th fewest rushing yards entering the afternoon, the Indianapolis front seven really took care of business up front on Sunday—holding the Bears to a 2.
