Quenton Nelson has always been a defender of quarterbacks. At any level, Nelson has been widely regarded as one of the best offensive linemen in the league. Although he has blocked for 10+ starting quarterbacks during his 7 seasons in the NFL, his willingness to go all out for the guy taking the snap on any given play has remained a constant.
As an NFL Draft prospect discussing pass rushers, Nelson proclaimed that he, “wanted to take their will away to play the game.” This was certainly music to Indy’s ears when they envisioned Nelson referring to opposing pass rushers who’d be licking their chops to get to and sack then-QB Andrew Luck.
