Polian to join Colts' Ring of Honor

The Indianapolis Colts announced Monday former team president/vice chairman Bill Polian will become the 13th member of the franchise’s Ring of Honor.

Polian, who spent 14 seasons with the Colts from 1998 through 2011, will be inducted Jan. 1 during halftime of the Week 17 game against Jacksonville. He joins coach Tony Dungy, wide receiver Marvin Harrison, running back Edgerrin James and center Jeff Saturday as honorees from the Super Bowl XLI championship team.

Dungy and Harrison will join Polian in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in August.

“Bill was incredibly successful during his time with our franchise and proved to be a Hall of Famer,” owner Jim Irsay said in a team release.
