Indianapolis began the season with a banged up defensive backfield as Clayton Geathers began the season on the physically unable to perform list. While Geathers made his season debut last week against the Titans, the Colts have lost two of their starting cornerbacks since Geathers’ return.
Rashaan Melvin made a tremenous interception against Tennessee, but he suffered a “significant” hand injury on the play and Chuck Pagano told the media that he is out indefinitely.
Pierre Desir became the de facto number one cornerback for the Colts this week, but he was just the latest defensive back to go down with an injury in Sunday’s game against the Jaguars.
