CLEVELAND — Facing their biggest test of the season, the Colts failed on almost every front. Quarterback Philip Rivers completely melted down in the second half, throwing two interceptions while also getting flagged for intentional grounding in the end zone (a safety).
And when the defense met a grown-up offense for the first time this season, they had no answers for it in the first half, surrendering 20 points in what ended up being a 32-23 Browns win Sunday at FirstEnergy Stadium. The defeat dropped the Colts to 3-2 on the season.
Rivers doesn't deserve all the blame for Sunday's loss, but he deserves a great deal of it.
