INDIANAPOLIS — Since the first combined AFL-NFL draft in 1967, the Colts franchise has held the No. 1-overall pick six times: four times in Indianapolis and twice in Baltimore.
It’s likely fair to say that four out of those six picks were slam dunks.
So with the upcoming 2017 NFL Draft marking the 51st draft of the league’s common era, NFL Media analyst Elliot Harrison this week decided to take a look back and rank the best No. 1-overall draft picks, from one to 50.
Two of the Colts five No. 1-overall picks were ranked in the Top 3 in Harrison’s list, while another currently is making his mark in the league, and could certainly be Top 10 or 15 material by the time his career is all said and done.
