INDIANAPOLIS -- Once Marshawn Lynch finished his segment of the Manningcast Monday night, Peyton Manning promptly apologized for Lynch's prolific cursing, including his use of the F-word.
ESPN editor Tory Barron, on the other hand, posted an article on ESPN.com early Tuesday morning praising Lynch's appearance, writing "Marshawn Lynch is not the hero we deserve, but he's the one we need."
While the F-word is considered among the crudest of cuss words by some, it is allowed to be used on ESPN without penalty from the Federal Communications Commission. The FCC has no jurisdiction over basic cable content, only broadcast television and radio.
