Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay spoke with the media Tuesday at the NFL owners' meetings, saying “it was very obvious” the Colts needed to move on from quarterback Carson Wentz. He said the fit with Wentz “just wasn’t right.”
“I don’t know why,” he said. “A lot of times you don’t know why, but you know it isn’t, and it was important for us to move in a different direction.”
Pat McAfee discussed Irsay’s comments on his show, saying, ““I don't think it was ever personal between Jim Irsay and Carson Wentz.
“I honestly believe that nobody gives Jim Irsay enough credit for understanding football, knowing football and being dialed in for football.
