Pat McAfee is ready to play quarterback for the Colts if necessary

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Colts could be in need of a backup quarterback against the Miami Dolphins if Matt Hasselbeck can't play and Charlie Whitehurst is forced to start. That's because Tennessee Titans claimed Alex Tanney off the Colts practice squad and Griff Whalen, the team's emergency quarterback, was placed on injured reserve Monday. Andrew Luck has already been ruled out for the game.

There's one player on the team's roster who is ready to play quarterback if necessary.

Punter Pat McAfee.
