Offensive line swap wasn't easy call for Reich

The pain was evident in every syllable Frank Reich spoke.

Sitting at a table surrounded by local media moments after his official NFL Scouting Combine podium interview concluded Wednesday, the Indianapolis Colts' head coach was talking for the first time about his decision to let offensive line coach Dave DeGuglielmo leave after his first season.

Indianapolis' offensive line was the most improved in the league in 2018 and it wasn't even close.

One year after surrendering an NFL-high 56 sacks, the Colts allowed just 18 — the lowest total in the league. There were many factors, including improved play from quarterback Andrew Luck and an offensive scheme that emphasized quick passes.
