Offense sputters in loss to Houston and Colts no longer control destiny in AFC South

INDIANAPOLIS – So long 13-game winning streak against Houston in Indianapolis. So long first place in the AFC South. And so long the playoffs? The Colts’ playoff hopes took a significant hit when the Houston Texans beat them 16-10 at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday. For so long it was the defense that has slowed the Texans slow down. That wasn’t the case this time, though. The defense did its part, but the offense sputtered all afternoon and couldn’t take advantage of good field position. The Colts crossed into Houston territory five times only to score 10 points. Indianapolis only had 190 yards of total offense for the game.
