Offense + defense + special teams = Colts win

INDIANAPOLIS – Who knew the missing ingredient in this underwhelming Indianapolis Colts’ season was a fourth-string running back without a single rushing attempt?

Perhaps that’s a mild overstatement, but not entirely.

See, the Colts finally played a full-faceted football game for the first time in 2016, and it netted them their biggest win of the season. Their 31-26 victory over the host Green Bay Packers on Sunday was the best example yet of the team’s three phases – offense, defense, special teams – coming together in unison.

That’s where Jordan Todman comes in. The backup running back took the opening kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown, then added a 61-yard return later in the first quarter to solidify a great special-teams performance for the Colts.
