Here is a positional postgame review of Sunday’s Indianapolis Colts and Detroit Lions preseason game:
• Quarterback — Thumbs down. It wasn’t pretty. Scott Tolzien got the start with Andrew Luck continuing to rehab his surgically repaired right shoulder. Tolzein went three series in the game, completing 2 of 5 passes for 24 yards. Undrafted rookie Phillip Walker went most of the way and showed some promise. He connected on 9 of 20 passes for 86 yards. Stephen Morris finished up and was the best statistically, completing 13 of 20 passes for 94 yards. He led Indianapolis to its only touchdown of the game, coming as the final seconds ticked off the clock.
