INDIANAPOLIS — A constant stream of news about the availability of potential quarterbacks around the NFL and the Colts’ pressing need at the position have produced an endless stream of speculation about Indianapolis making a move.
Colts general manager Chris Ballard acknowledged he’s aware of the speculation in an appearance on The Dan Dakich Show on 1075 The Fan, then asked Dakich for the latest.
The latest centers on Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz, who has reportedly been the subject of trade inquiries this week from several teams and who has an obvious link to the Colts in head coach Frank Reich, the man who first developed Wentz as a starter in Philadelphia.
