INDIANAPOLIS — Veteran Colts right tackle Braden Smith suffered a triceps injury in Thursday night’s win over the New York Jets, and Indianapolis does not have an update on his status yet.
Smith left the field after the Colts failed to convert a fourth-and-goal from the 1-yard line.
Trainers examined Smith, initially ruled the right tackle as questionable to return, then took him to the locker room for further evaluation and ruled out Smith for the rest of the game.
“I talked to the doctor on the side, he said they took an X-ray, they saw a little something but didn’t know if it was old or new or whatever,” Colts head coach Frank Reich said.
