New Colts CB Brandon Facyson has spent years preparing for chance to start

INDIANAPOLIS — Brandon Facyson has an opportunity in Indianapolis that he hasn’t had in his previous two stops in the NFL.

A chance to be a full-time starter.

Facyson signed a one-year deal worth $3.84 million, a deal that’s close to the first one-year deal veteran cornerback Xavier Rhodes signed to come to the Colts in 2020. By paying Facyson that much to lure him away from two other teams — the Raiders were a finalist, a source told IndyStar — Indianapolis sent a message that Facyson will at least get a chance to step into the starting role vacated by Rock Ya-Sin, traded to the Raiders to get Yannick Ngakoue.
