The 14-year NFL veteran has been a popular name for a possible future head coach since being added to the Texans’ coaching staff in 2014. Vrabel was an assistant at Ohio State before jumping to the NFL ranks, and has risen from his position as a linebackers coach for three seasons (2014-2016) to defensive coordinator after being a stalwart with the New England Patriots.
