Colts safety Mike Adams was named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week for his two interception performance against the Houston Texans last Thursday night. It is the first Player of the Week award for Adams of his career.
Adams two interceptions basically opened and closed the game on Thursday. His first interception came on the opening drive of the game after Houston had driven into the red zone. A tipped pass ended up in Adams’ hands and he returned it 38 yards to set up a Colts field goal.
His second interception came on the Texans final drive of the game.
